Quest Warrnambool's central location in the heart of Warrnambool provides your perfect base to explore and experience all the attractions that our coastal city has to offer.
Flagstaff Hill
Warrnambool's heritage can be seen in the re-created 1870's coastal village at Flagstaff Hill. The village offers visitors the ability to view typical buildings of the era including the doctor's surgery, slipway, inn, school and sail maker's loft.
Along with the re-created village visitors are able to learn more about the numerous shipwrecks which occured along the rugged Shipwreck Coast. The Great Circle Gallery is home to numerous shipwreck artifacts including the famous Loch Ard Peacock.
At night Flagstaff Hill hosts 'Shipwrecked', the sound and light show which brings to life the Loch Ard tragedy through a state of the art water screen.
The Warrnambool Visitor Information Centre is also located at Flagstaff Hill, providing extensive information about Warrnambool and the surrounding districts.
Warrnambool is home to the Logans Beach Whale Nursery. Most years a number of Southern Right Whales will come to Logans Beach to bear their calves. Normally the mothers and teir calves will remain in the nursery for a number of weeks between June and September.
The specially built viewing platform at Logans Beach is the perfect spot to view these whales.
